Winner Experience: Roll up with Seth Rogen to James Franco’s Bar Mitzvah

| comments

Our winner Greg and his wife Karen flew in from Chicago to attend James Franco’s bar mitzvah, which was thrown by Seth Rogen and Hilarity for Charity. Wondering what went down? We were too. Here are the details from Greg…

Greg: It all happened so fast! We found out on Wednesday that we would be going to LA on Saturday. We were flown out and put up in the Roosevelt. There, we met the camera crew from Good Morning America, did an interview, and then Seth and his wife Lauren came. It was pretty sweet that Lauren wished Karen a happy birthday as soon as they came in—that was one of the most memorable things for us.

We all went to the limo and rode to the event together. Once we got there, possibly the most bizarre and surreal part of the night happened—getting our picture taken on the carpet. So many camera flashes! After that, we got food (awesome LA food trucks) and went to the show.

The show was hilarious and the comedians were hysterical. Bill Hader helping with the auction was definitely a highlight. The most unexpected part of the night was probably Jeff Goldblum showing up to circumcise James Franco… the role Zac Efron played was priceless. And you never really know what to expect when Miley Cyrus takes the stage, aside from the fact that there will be shock and awe. And she did not disappoint!

Seth and Lauren definitely left an impression on us. You can tell that they are devoted to their family, and to the cause of not only finding a cure for Alzheimer’s, but also for caring for those who are affected by the disease. We have a deep respect for them and what they are doing is truly remarkable.
