Winner Experience: #JUGLIFE Celebrity Softball Game

| comments

Anne and her son Donovan are huge fans of the Warriors. So when they got the chance to hang with the team at this year’s #JUGLIFE Foundation Celebrity Softball Game, it was like a slam dunk and home run all in one. Read on for the details.

How was your day at the Oracle Arena?
When we first got there, we got to go through the VIP entrance, which was cool because that’s where all the players go in. And then we got our jersey and hats and then we actually got to go through the locker room, which was super super cool. All of them were getting ready in the locker room, not like naked or anything though. We got to chill with them so that was a really cool experience because it was just us with the players and their family. We took pictures with the players and then someone asked my son Donovan if he wanted to field balls. So he actually got to take the ball from Kevin Durant and JaVale McGee, which was his highlight. It was an amazing day and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We are so so thankful for Omaze for this opportunity. It was very cool to show to my 9-year old son that when you give back, good things happen. He couldn’t even talk the whole day. He just sat there big-eyed.

What was the highlight of the day for you?
The highlight of the day for me was just seeing all the players came together and drop their egos to do things that they weren’t good at for such an amazing cause. Kevin Durant actually stepped out. I thought it was really cool to have all these guys dedicate their time for that. To be a part of that was very special. Everyone wanted to do the right thing.

How were the players?
Matt Barnes was super cool. On the court, he’s not the nicest guy, but he was awesome. Andre Iguodala was really cool too. He came over to say hello. We took pictures with Andre Iguodala, Matt Barnes, JaVale McGee, Draymond Green and Amber Rose, who was on the team as well. She was actually super super nice.

If you can describe the whole experience in one word, what would it be?
Definitely “once-in-a-lifetime.” It was amazing. Everyone was so nice and so grateful that we had donated to their organization. It was just a really good day.

Is there anything that you want to share with the Omaze community?
I just want to say that this is legit. I’m just a regular person with no ties to anything. I saw the post and wanted to donate and when I got the email, I thought it was a joke. But this is 100% legit. I think it’s amazing that not only can you donate to good causes and have the bulk of the money go to the charity, but you also get a chance to win an amazing opportunity.

Thank YOU for supporting the #JUGLIFE Foundation! Your donations will be used to promote a healthy and active lifestyle to children by encouraging them to drink more water, exercise and eat healthy!

You can live the dream too!
