This Veterans Day you lent a helping hand and gave back to those who gave so much for us. Thanks to your generosity, you’ve raised $2,027,209 (and counting!) for six amazing veteran organizations.
What kind of impact will these funds have? Learn more about each charity below.
Packages From Home
Food. Hygiene. Even entertainment supplies! These are just some of the things Packages From Home provides to deployed troops, military dogs and homeless or at-risk veterans. They’ve made it their mission to make sure every service member—past and present—knows they are respected and cared for. Your support can play an essential role in boosting their morale and enhancing their quality of life, and who doesn’t want that?
Folds of Honor
You could help fund the education of a spouse or child of a fallen or disabled service member—all through the work of Folds of Honor. They provide educational scholarships to support private education tuition, homeschooling and tutoring for children in grades K–12, and higher education tuition assistance for spouses and dependents. So far, they’ve awarded over 20,000 scholarships in all 50 states, as well as Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Bob Woodruff Foundation
The Bob Woodruff Foundation asks people to stand up for heroes so that it can find, fund and shape innovative programs that help impacted veterans, service members and their families thrive. They empower veterans to pursue new careers, heal from the physical and hidden wounds of war, and draw up their leadership skills developed in uniform to make our communities better.
Team Rubicon was the very first charity we ever partnered with and holds a soft spot in our hearts. They unite the skills and experience of our nation’s military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams following natural disasters. This mission not only helps disaster-stricken areas across the world, but it also helps veteran communities by giving them three things they lose after leaving the military: a purpose, gained through disaster relief; community, built by serving with others; and self-worth, from recognizing the impact one individual can make.
Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.)
The Call of Duty Endowment is laser-focused on one mission: to help vets get great jobs. The Endowment helps veterans find high-quality careers by supporting organizations in the US and UK that prepare them for the job market, and by raising awareness of the value vets bring to the workplace.
Merging Vets and Players
Merging Vets and Players (MVP) is an inspiring organization that brings together former professional athletes and combat veterans to tackle their transition back into civilian life as a team.
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to these wonderful charities and our veterans for their brave service.
