Monthly Cause: Women’s Rights

| comments

This March, in honor of Women’s History Month, we’re focusing on women’s rights around the world. There are so many ways to give back and support your fellow women—check out our suggestions of what to read, watch, do, give and buy this month.

READ: Feminist Fight Club, Bad Feminist, Men Explain Things to Me, We All Should be Feminists.

WATCH: We’re big fans of The United State of Women’s big video as well as He Named Me Malala, The Color Purple and Miss Representation (available on Netflix).

DO: Participate in your local Women’s Day March, wear red to support “A Day Without Women” on March 8, send an e-card from Malala Fund to honor an inspiring woman in your life or find regional and virtual ways to volunteer.

GIVE: Check out some of the incredible causes we’ve worked with that support women: W.E. Can Lead, Malala Fund, EMILY’s List, The United State of Women, Essie Justice Group, Girls Who Code, Planned Parenthood, NARAL and Emerge America. What are your favorite causes that support women’s rights?

BUY: Cool ways to spend while giving back are through Art AIDS Art’s online store, Lola Tampons and Global Good Partners. We might be a little biased, but we have some pretty cool exclusive Omaze t-shirts that support a variety of causes benefiting women’s rights too…

Did we miss your favorite thing to read, watch, do, give and buy to support women’s rights? Share it with us in the comments.

You can live the dream too!

Check out our current experiences.
