Meet Gabriel Corona: A Veteran You’re Supporting

| comments

TMC_FB_2.0Gabriel Corona, a tactical radio operator in the U.S. Marine Corps, is just one example of the veterans you supported by entering for the chance to play paintball on a team of Navy SEALs, hang with Jon Stewart, and more!

After spending many years providing American support in Japan, Kuwait, and back on the home-front, Corona was honorably discharged in 2007 and enrolled in school. However, the college environment was unfamiliar and the workload strenuous so he began seeking opportunities to focus on community outreach.

“Veterans have a responsibility to their country to continue to their service at home because we have the capacity for leadership,” he explained.

That’s how he found The Mission Continues. Through this incredible charity, Corona earned a fellowship at Vanguard University Veterans Resource Center, where he serves as the Assistant Sports Director and focuses on community outreach by teaming up with local service agencies to help veterans transition, network, serve and identify employment and internship in his area.
