How to Bake a Cake Worth Throwing in Someone’s Face

| comments

While we all love cake, Steve Aoki prefers cake that flies through the air and smashes right in your face. And you could be his next target.

Enter for a chance to get a free trip to Las Vegas, where you’ll get caked by Steve at Hakkasan, watch a private screening of The Hive, and stay at the MGM. The icing on the cake? Every entry supports medical research through the Steve Aoki Charitable Fund.

Here’s a recipe for a deliciously aerodynamic cake that Steve would happily throw at you. It’s very simple, which is important because most of it will end up in your hair.

Cake a la Aoki

Serving suggestion: Mid-air

1 ½ cups flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
Pinch of salt
½ cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup whole milk
Buttercream icing

Heat oven to 400℉. Grease pan.

Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together. In the same bowl, add the butter and beat. Then, in order, add the sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk.

Pour mixture into pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Let it cool.

Pick up the cake, aim at lucky concert goer, and throw.
