What’s your day-to-day look like?
A lot of it is monitoring how things are selling and trying to think of ways to optimize it. I work with marketing to feature certain rewards that are performing well or not performing well. Other than that, it’s a lot of communicating with vendors on designs and new ideas. Part of it is talking to our celebrity and charity partners to make sure we have all of the assets that we need. Basically, there’s a lot of correspondence.
Is there a particular donor reward you’re proud of?
The Batman v Superman coloring book. I pitched it thinking it was just the nerdiest thing ever. I was out of the office the day it was presented to the company, and I came home to thirteen Slack messages from people saying how cool it was. It was great to have so much support.
I was also really proud of the George Takei horoscope reward. That was so funny.
How did you end up in this line of work?
I studied communications and marketing at NYU, and French randomly, but that’s not relevant. I did a lot of internships in the fashion industry, mostly in PR and editorial. I got a job as an Assistant Buyer at Macy’s because they recruit right at our school. I’ve always wanted to go into fashion but not high-fashion at all. I liked working at Macy’s, but I wanted to go somewhere smaller where I could make choices. I started looking into nonprofits and that’s how I found Omaze.

What’s the coolest campaign perk you can think of for it?
I’d like Drake to pull me on stage and serenade me at one of his shows. I think I’d like one of the perks to be for Drake to make a parody of one of his songs and dedicate it to you.
