Catherine Brower is the first person you see when entering Omaze’s office. She’s usually sitting up by the front, waiting to say hi. A half-Canadian who specializes in partying and party planning (amongst other things), Catherine started as our operations intern before quickly moving up into a full-time position as our Office and Culture Associate. Check her out.
What’s your motto?
“Love the life you live, live the life you love”
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is greeting everyone upfront and making our team happy. I get to plan really awesome events like team retreats and holiday parties. I get to recruit interns. I just honestly love working with people and seeing people happy. At the end of the day, if you smile then I smile.
What’s the ideal party? Unlimited budget.
A weekend long retreat in Mammoth. We’re doing team building exercises but we’re also taking ski lessons, snowboarding… there’s a bonfire at night… a party…*Catherine falls into a dream state.*
What’s your New Year’s Resolution?
I’d love to participate in a triathlon this year.
Who would you book to perform at the party?
Beyonce. A lot of people at the company seem to love Beyonce.
Have you traveled?
I studied in Madrid for college.
What’s something the US can learn from Madrid?
The importance of family. I stayed with a host family. The woman was so incredible. She had six kids and ten grandchildren. The kids would come over every Sunday and they’d have a huge lunch. It was amazing that she took myself and three other girls in from my school and loved us as her own among all of that.
What’s your favorite holiday?
Easter! I don’t know if it’s the Reese’s eggs or the egg hunts but I love Easter. Seeing my dad at mass on Easter Sunday was the best thing ever.
Where do you see yourself in 2026?
I’d love to have a tequila bar with really kick-ass Mexican food. I’d name it Veracruz. My mom is from Veracruz and I’d want it to be a family restaurant in San Diego.
What’s the specialty?
The tequila. Just kidding. Tacos with tinga.
