What’s a Chief World Changer? An Omaze employee who goes above and beyond their daily work and embodies our company virtues (We Before Me, Grow Together, Take Ownership, Dream Giant, and Spread Joy).
Meet Lee. He’s our Manager of Finance Planning & Analysis and was nominated by his peers across the company to be recognized as Chief World Changer! Not only is Lee an expert in his field and in Omaze history (he’s been with us for over 5 years!), he’s also been instrumental in making donors’ impact as big as possible. His cheerful demeanor and willingness to always lend a helping hand make him an absolute joy to work with!
Tell us a little bit about your role at Omaze.
We forecast the future health and performance of the company and track it against the actual numbers. We do this by analyzing financial data, customer metrics and tracking overall trends.
In your opinion, what does it mean to be a world changer?
Focusing on how to make tomorrow better and not just today. Creating something that’s going to last and the world will benefit because of it.
Which Omaze core virtue means the most to you?
I’d have to say a mix of Dream Giant and Spread Joy. I think you need optimism to break the conventional norm we’re up against. Then combine that with a bit of silliness and laughter so we can appreciate and enjoy what we’re doing along the way.
What cause are you passionate about and why?
My wife and I are avid SCUBA divers so the cause I’m most passionate about is the health of our oceans and the animals in them.
What do you like to do for fun?
Watching movies and going camping. My wife and I are currently knocking out as many domestic National Parks as possible.
What’s one food you couldn’t live without?
Steak. Mmm, steak.
And finally, what’s your dream Omaze experience? (You know we had to ask!)
Traveling to the bottom of the ocean in one of those submersive vehicles to explore and see some of the wild translucent, bioluminescent creatures.
